projectProjects

Projects that tickle my fancy

I built projectProjects as a hub to collect, nurture, and share progress on my constantly evolving interests. I’m trying hard to embrace moving between passions when the inspiration hits, and this site lets me keep every project in view so I can revisit and finish them when the cycle comes back around.

I’m a proud career Canadian who loves the outdoors no matter the weather. I love the mountains, hiking, snowshoeing, the ocean, and sailing. My hobbies include blacksmithing, woodworking, electronics and selfhosting, open-source software, reading and gardening. Right now I’m focused on building an off-grid solar homestead from scratch in the mountains of British Columbia. Expect content on eco-friendly DIY projects, organic gardening, alternative building, orchard/food forest projects, blacksmithing, and, soon, small livestock!

I’m done with the sanitized corporate ad-ernet; so, you won’t find cookies, ads, tracking, or sponsored shill content here. All content, plans, etc. on projectProjects are released under the Creative Commons Attribution-NonCommercial-ShareAlike 4.0 International license. This means you may share and remix my work as long as you give appropriate credit, do not use it for commercial purposes, and distribute any adaptations under the same license.

Stay connected: follow on Mastodon and share your comments, or RSS for updates. I’m considering starting a PeerTube channel in the future, so if you follow on Mastodon maybe one day soon you’ll be able to see video content directly in your feed.

What are you waiting for? Puma says get over to the projectLibrary and get reading!

My handsome black cat “Puma”. He’s wearing his black backpack harness from the videogame Stray while looking into the distance. There’s a variety of native groundcover in the foreground, with bare deciduous trees and a couple evergreens out of focus in the back. Further back, you can see a snowcapped mountain range.
